The Call for Application to 2018 Fall Program Moduli Spaces and Varieties at SCMS
The 2018 Fall Program on Moduli Spaces and Varieties will be a ten-week program from Sept. 10 to Nov. 23. The first period of the program will focus on moduli spaces and the related topics, lasting 4 weeks. After a week of recess (the first long national holiday), the second part will be devoted to birational geometry of varieties. The purpose of this program is to bring top experts in the fields, and gather young researchers and students from Asia and China, to this program to teach, to learn, to share, and to collaborate.
The program consists of three workshops, lecture series given by invited speakers during the non-workshop weeks, and other seminar talks related to the topics of the program. The program will also offer basics notion courses in algebraic geometry for graduate students, and organize learning seminars for young algebraic geometers.
The program will support a limited number of junior researchers in algebraic geometry to participate the whole program. Based on the availability of funding, the support includes coverage of travel expenses, room and living expenses during the program. Eligible applicants are senior graduate students, post doctor fellows and junior faculties in algebraic geometry.
To apply for the support, please fill the application form attached and submit your the form via email to program_scms@fudan.edu.cn. For graduate student or post doctor fellow, please have your thesis advisor or mentor to send his/her reference letter to program_scms@fudan.edu.cn.
The program will begin processing applications in mid May, until all funding is committed.
